Obituary of MARLENE JANE MOUSER
Marlene Jane Mouser (Edwards)
1935 – 2016
Marlene passed peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the age of 80 years.
Marlene was born and raised in Old Kildonan on the original land grant from the Lord Selkirk Settlers (Lot 27). She was a direct descendent of the Murray Clan and she was happy to move back to her roots in the last few months to the assisted living facility now located on this property. She was very proud of her heritage and interested in local history.
Marlene was a long time member of Lord Selkirk Association, Seven Oaks Historical Society, Kildonan Presbyterian Church (Kildonan Community Church) and Mary Nisbet Auxiliary.
Marlene was predeceased by her husband Robert and her parents, Lillian and Charles. She is survived by her brother David (Joyce Fieting) from Winnipeg; sister Gwyn (Syd) Perkins from Tofield, Alberta; nieces Barbara and Joan Edwards, Tracey (Gary) Smith, Jocelyn (Brad) Shaler, Kathryn Perkins and one great niece and two great nephews.
There will be a private family interment as per Marlene’s wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
