Was a great teacher at PRC. Enjoyed all the guess who stories, always had a smile and there if you needed him. Was sad to hear of his passing. Even though it's been a few years I hope the impact he made on multiple generations helps with your loss.

My condolences to the entire family. It has been a long time, but I still smile at memories of Mr. Bodnar, or Russ as he insisted we call him out of school. I believe he taught me from 1979-81 at Louis Riel Collegiate in St. Boniface... great teacher, well liked and always remembered through the years.

My condolances to the Family and my Heart is very heavy today. Russ was one of my most favorite Teachers I had at PRC. He taught w passion and a purpose. He made going to class FUN and Enjoyable. Many life lessons learned during those days and the Ski Trips and Intramurals were so enjoyable because of him! I only hope that the Teachers of today could model his career because this world would be in great hands if that were to happen! Was also nice to keep in touch after I graduated as we would see each other at the Hockey Rinks when I was officiating many of Jordans Hockey Games....RIP RUSS! YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!

Russ was an advocate for his students. His warm nature and sense of humor made him a special teacher, and colleague. I have very fond memories of working and 'playing' at PRC with Russ. He will be missed. My condolences.
