Obituary of ANNA KOSTENUK

ANNA KOSTENUK (nee Mollish) It is of with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother and Baba, Anna on Thursday July 5, 2012 at Seven Oaks Hospital Predeceased by her husband Michael in 2003 she will forever and lovingly be missed by her two treasured children; daughter Corinne Villebrun and son Randy (Sylvie) and her two cherished grandchildren Tamara and Kyle, also sister Nellie Myslawchuk and sister in-law Lee Mollish, as well as nieces and nephews. Anna was born in Poplar Park, MB and like so many young people moved to Winnipeg where she met and married her dear husband Michael and they were happily married for 63 years. In those early years they moved from Morris to Fannystelle, Bagot and finally to Portage La Prairie. They spent 25 wonderful years where many life long friends were made. When Mom and Dad moved back to Winnipeg in 1975, Dad retired and Mom continued working at Sears Garden City for 23 years. Anna`s whole life was devoted to her beloved family and revolved around her children and grandchildren. She regularly attended choir and music concerts, sporting activities and many bowling tournaments. Family dinners and celebrations were always very special. She wanted nothing but the best for her family and she took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was especially devoted to her dear little dog Nikki. We will never forget her generosity, strength and beautiful smile. She greeted everyone with caring and kind words. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev. Fr. Alexander Harkavyj officiating. Her loss leaves us sad and heavy hearted. We were so lucky to have her for so many years. She will live and be loved forever in our hearts. God saw you getting tired When a cure could not be, So he wrapped his arms around you And so he whispered ``Come with me.`` Vichnaya Pam’yat
