Obituary of ARNOLD G. HERMAN
ARNOLD G. HERMAN
1933 – 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arnold Herman. June 30, 2012, age 78 years, with his family by his side. He was a good loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Arnold was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Olive Herman.
Left to cherish his memory is his love of his life, Irene; son Russell (Matilde); granddaughters Michelle, Laurissa; grandson Brett and sister Doreen.
Arnold will be truly missed by all. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His passion was his job that he worked tirelessly at. He enjoyed time with family and friends that he affectionately referred to as "Arnie’s Army". He enjoyed watching his granddaughters play ringette, soccer, and hockey games. Arnold’s long time friend Bill Riechart, Pinehurst, N.C, U.S visited last year to spend time with his buddy Arnie. He was so happy, talking about old times. He wished he lived closer. Arnold loved sports. He himself played soccer at school, curling, then golf, and was a member at Pineridge Golf Club for approximately 35 years. He retired from Deloitte and Touche in1995; working a total of 43 years. Arnie loved to travel and of all the places was Palm Springs, California was his favourite. He went there for14 years until his health stopped his travelling.
Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean we’ll miss you until we meet again.
The family would like to thank the staff on B5 Medicine at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion.
In keeping with Arnie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations in Arnold’s memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
Rest in peace, you will be sadly missed.
