Obituary of GERALDINE ANGER

GERALDINE ANGER (nee Schoepp) With deep sadness in our hearts, we mourn the passing of Geraldine (Geri) Marie Catherine Anger, mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Mom was born January 11, 1933. She was raised in Langenburg, SK and private schooled in Winnipeg until she became a registered nurse. There she met her husband Kurt and was married for 40 years. He passed in 1994. Geri was predeceased by her mother Juliette and her father John. She was raised by her aunt and uncle Frieda and Ludwig Schoepp. Geri was the last of her extended family which included her brothers and sisters, Frieda (Bill), Harold (Lily), Ruth (Erwin) and Lois (Del). Left to mourn her passing is her daughter Linda and son-in-law Bud; her granddaughter Kristy and her great granddaughter Faith. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Mom was a devoted wife and mother. Her passions were cooking, sewing and gardening. Kristy and “Gramma” would bake cookies and work in her garden and with Faith; she was always available for a game of cards. Her greatest joy in later years was simply to be around her family and enjoy a meal together. Respecting Mom’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
