Obituary of BRUCE MAGEE
BRUCE ALLAN MAGEE
Peacefully on Sunday December 20, 2015 Bruce Allan Magee in his 76th year.
He was predeceased by his parents Harvey and Phyllis (Thomas) Magee. Survived by his eight children, Michael of Winnipeg, MB, Heather and her husband William of Kelowna, BC, Gordon and his wife Charlotte of Stoney Creek, ON, Barbara and her husband Ross Hay of West St Paul, MB, Scott of Guelph, ON Brian of Winnipeg, MB, Dale of Guelph, ON and Laura of Winnipeg, MB. Grandchildren Corey, Shayna, Everett, Evan, Ryan and Belle.
Bruce was born in Winnipeg, MB on January 19, 1939, educated at Laura Secord and Tec-Voc schools. He sang in the choir at All Saints Cathedral. Was a member of the scouts and Naval Cadets Reserves.
Bruce loved to travel, taking his family on many camping and road trips across North America. He lived in many different cities in Canada, and was a member of many different clubs such as The Lions Club, Tai Chi and sailing associations. He was extremely friendly and enjoyed meeting new people, with many lifelong friends met along the way.
He was very proud of his family, especially his parents and extended family, the Thomas cousins. He took great joy in his children and grandchildren.
Bruce will be especially remembered for his love of animals and sailing, spending many summers at the family cottage at Wanasing Beach, MB.
A memorial service/celebration of life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street Winnipeg MB Monday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m.
The family requests donations may be made in Bruce’s name to The Winnipeg Humane Society or The Canadian Mental Health Association.
