Obituary of JOSEPHINE RZONCA
JOSEPHINE RZONCA
August 24, 1914 – December 7, 2015
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother at Bethania Personal Care Home at the grand age of 101 years old.
Left to cherish her memory are her son John (Shirley); daughter Evelyn; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Lisa, Glenn, Blake, Chantal and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Emily, Mackenzie, Linden, Natalia, Tiana; and great great-grandson David. She is also survived by her brothers, Rudy (Johanna) and Peter; and her sister Julie and their families. Josie was predeceased by her husband John; brother Larry and her sister in-law Elsie.
Fortunately, she was blessed with excellent health and was able to fully enjoy her retirement years. She was a lifelong active member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL). In her later years, she always looked forward to her Fridays because she loved to participate in the activities held at Middlechurch.
She had a great passion for cooking, gardening, arts and crafts. But most importantly, her greatest joy came from her faith in God and her love for her family and friends. She was a true inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Funeral service will take place Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe Avenue. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
