I first met Nikita at Fort Richmond. Almost everyone knew him as someone to always have a smile on his face. His contagious upbeat attitude was something everyone should inspire towards. My oldest memories of him all have laughter and a feeling of the beat he seemed to constantly carry with him. His love for music leaked through every bit of his personality. I'm so happy I got to reconnect with him, and got to call him a true friend. There are no words to say how much I miss him, and will continue to miss him everyday. He was one of the best people I've ever known and had as a friend.
My condolences to his family, other friends, and anyone whose life was touched by him.
Elena, Dan and Alan, my heart and love go out to you♡

I did not know Nikita but I was reading this and wanted to leave a few words to his family and friends. I hope that this bible text can provide you with a little bit of comfort and hope as you continue to cope. Take care. John 5:28,29-"Do not be amazed at this for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life..."

I didn't know Nikita well but he was an amazing man. We spoke often about music and everything he showed and told me made me a more cultured person. He was always friendly and inspiring. I am so sorry for those closer to him. I pray your pain is eased by the kind memories we all have of him.

Nikita, Aadi and myself were the first three to get a group together in fundraising and building FRCs' Drumline. This is actually when we first got acquainted with each other. His love for drumming brought us together in taking up this challenge.
I remember from the very first days, how many great memories were made.
From going to each store around Fort Richmond, asking for sponsorships for our fundraiser, to considering asking for a sponsorship from "The Joint" (purely comedic intentions of course), to ransacking the band room percussion section and moving it to the center of the FRC track field and playing for the Terri Fox Runs, the amount of joy we shared with each other was and always will be absolutely priceless.
Nikita had a beautiful and considerate heart. Always lending a helping hand when needed and being there just to jam out.
Nikita, I will miss him dearly, and I know his friends will as well. My deepest and sincere condolences to his parents and family.
Sincerely, your friend forever,
Ranishka Jayakody

Nikita was my best friend. In music, he was genius. In friendship, he meant more to me than my own music career. I will miss him. More than anything, I will miss him. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
