MARY KOWCUN
1919 - 2015
On Tuesday, September 29, 2015, Mary Kowcun passed away
away at the Holy Family Home in Winnipeg at the age of 96 years.
Mary was a retired from the Grain Exchange lab research after 40 years of service. She shared her love of animals, loved to travel and her thirst for knowledge.
Mary is survived by niece, June Dust and nephew, Russell Blaker and great nephew Fred as well as numerous cousins. Predeceased by her parents Dmytro and Wasylyna, sisters Beatrice Kowcun, Olga Blaker and great nephew, Nathaniel Blaker.
The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and staff at the Holy Family Home for their caring support.
Cremation has taken place at Mary’s wishes. A graveside service will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery on Saturday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Mary Best will be officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined, however, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Darcy’s Animal Rescue Centre, 730 B Century St. James, Wpg. or to the Atlantic-Garden City United Church, 725 Atlantic Avenue, Wpg.
Always remembered and never forgotten.
