My deepest sympathies to the family. I will always remember Rick as a very caring and talented member of the A6 Team at 1 Cdn Air Div HQ. It was many years ago that I served under his supervision while I was a Junior Officer undergoing OJT. He tutored me a great deal passing on tech knowledge and insight into the world of IT and CIS. It was during a time of transition in my career and Rick was a major reason for my success. He was intelligent, caring, optimistic and had a tremendous sense of humour.

I first met Rick in 1992 in what was then Air Command Headquarters. With the changes in the organization I eventually came to work under him. Rick was an amazing fellow with a huge sense of humour. He was always ready with a good joke. We had wonderful times building networks and in fact getting the building wired and computerized.
I know he loved his cottage at Betula and we would talk about fishing and the great times 'at the lake'. We saw each other occasionally at retirements and of course the Col O golf tournament. We were also email joke buddies. I miss not getting one or two a week.
I picture him in a wonderful cottage with a lake full of pickerel and a better than PGA golf course next to it waiting for the rest of us to get there.

We love you and will miss you. I have such fond memories of Rick since I was a little girl on the farm. I remember him askiing me to get two extra bags of candy from Santa Claus for my two little brothers Ricky and Howie. I also remember him getting me to school on time when we slept in. School was 13 miles away and we had onnly a few mintutes. Let's just say my stomach didn't have time to get sick. I think I was off the seat more than on going over those hills. We made it on time. Rick has always been a shining star in my life and one of my all time favourite people.
Henrietta I pray for you and the kids to get through this tough time and if there is any comfort in this, .... he is in a better place, pain free, breathing in the freshest air he has ever smelled. I'm wondering what St. Peter is saying to him at the "Pearly Gates" after all those jokes... probably has a few for Rick.
We love you all and our hearts grieve with you. RIP Rick.

My deepest sympathy to you. It is heart-warming to know that we can pour out our feelings to God who promises to comfort our hearts. (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17) May you find hope and peace through God's promise of resurrection. (John 5:28, 29)
