Obituary of WISWALD KLAWIS

Our father, grandfather, and great grandfather Wes passed away peacefully on Monday September 7, 2015 at the St Boniface Hospital. Wes was predeceased by his wife Maria. He is survived by his children, Sylvia, Connie (Cam), Eric (Diane); his grandchildren Andrea (Jeff), David (Karla), Karalyn (Marcel), Alexia (Chris), Mason and great grandchild Holton. Wes was born in Riga, Latvia on February 13, 1926. Post WWII he met his wife Maria in Regen, Germany, and in 1954 immigrated to Canada with his family and finally settled in Winnipeg. Wes was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and golfing. Wes was fortunate to enjoy good health for most of his life. The family would like to thank the Emergency and ICU staff at St. Boniface General Hospital for their compassionate care. As per his wishes, the family will be holding a private family memorial at a later date.
