ERIN BATEMAN

Obituary of ERIN LINDSEY BATEMAN

ERIN BATEMAN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Erin Lindsey Bateman on August 29th, 2015. She was 38 years old. Erin was a devoted and amazing mother, fiercely proud sister and best friend to her parents. Erin left behind her parents, Neil & Frieda Bateman. Brother, sister-in-law and nephew, Kyler, Carey & Sevren Bateman. Cousins Chris, Angie & Tyson Bateman; Jeff & Charissa Bateman. Aunts and Uncles, Rennie & Ron Bobby; Deb & Manfred Rehm. Oma, Elisabeth Rehm. Most of all, Erin is leaving behind her beautiful 10-year-old daughter, Elisabeth (Munchy) Sabourin. Erin and Elisabeth were loved and supported by Jean-Pierre and the entire Sabourin family. Erin was one of the biggest movie buffs on the planet. If she wasn’t watching a movie, she could be found reading one of a thousand books or listening to music. Erin was like an encyclopedia when it came to movie trivia, actors names and quoting her favorite novels. Erin loved spending time at cabins and in the outdoors. She loved being in water and swimming in Manitoba/Ontario lakes. She was passionate about the Earth’s oceans and all the marine life in them, from dolphins and whales to sea lions. Erin and Elisabeth loved spending time with their family and could be found at Neil and Frieda’s for supper on regular occasions. In Erin’s passing, she saved and improved the lives of many people by donating her corneas, heart valves, bone marrow, and tissue. There is a trust fund being established for Elisabeth. For further information, please contact the Bateman family. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
