Obituary of OLGA SKURA

OLGA SKURA (nee Harasymec) On Thursday July 9, 2015, surrounded by love and family, Olga passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness. Olga was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her memory will always be cherished by her children Richard, Cheryl (Bozidar), Debbie (Allan), and Peter (Trisha); and grandchildren Jesse, Maegan, Chelsea, Tyler, Christopher, Matthew, Dora, Alyssa, and Emma. She is also survived by a large extended family. Olga was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1995. Our Mom was born in Cooks Creek, Manitoba. She was the youngest and last surviving child of Stephan and Mary Harasymec. Olga retired from Eaton’s after working there for many years. She was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church and an active member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League until her health deteriorated. The family would like to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for their care and compassion, where she lived for the past three years. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. with Fr. Bohdan Lukie, C.Ss.R. officiating.
