Obituary of FRANK JAMES BRUCE

FRANK JAMES BRUCE It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Franklyn James Bruce at the young age of 31 years old. Frank was predeceased by his dad, Gary Wilson. He will be lovingly missed each and every day by his daughter, Serena and son, Aiden; his grandmother, Elizabeth; his mom, Sarah Donovan and step-dad John Donovan; his sisters, Clorese, Josephine (Tim), and Kathleen (Eric); his step-brother, John Jr. (Amanda); his nephews, Matthew, Justin (Tracy), and Joshuah; his nieces, Katie, Emily (Alex), Kari, Meagan, Summer-Lee, Hayleigh; his great-nieces, Sophia and Sadie; and, many numerous family members from Manitoba, British Columbia, Ontario, and many very special friends. Frank was born in Winnipeg on November 23, 1983. He was the youngest of four children being the only boy. Within a few years, two of his nephews were born and all three grew a bond that was unbreakable. Frank loved the ice and spent many winters at the David Livingstone ice rink with his dad. He loved that his dad always took the time to show him how to throw a ball or shoot a puck. He was known to ride his bike everywhere. He had worked security for the Lake St. Martin First Nation and took pride in his role. He gave of himself to others when they needed help, volunteering was never an issue. He never gave up on finishing high school; he had only one more subject to go. He was pretty talented when it came to creating Aboriginal art with mirrors, glass and metal. Frank’s greatest loves were his children. Being a dad was his favorite part of life. At any family gathering, he only displayed love and affection for his children and all other children. We love you so much and we are not ever going to stop thinking about you or missing you or wishing you were here with us! To everyone, you had the brightest and most amazing smile ever, with a heart of pure gold! In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage you to make a donation to Siloam Mission. Frank believed in helping anyone down on their luck. Viewing and prayers will be held on Monday, July 6th from 6-9pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Memorial Service will also take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. A lunch will follow at the Friendship Center, 45 Robinson Street.
