Obituary of ZOFIA PIECZONKA
ZOFIA PIECZONKA
After a lengthy hospital stay, Zofia passed away peacefully at the Seven Oaks General Hospital on Sunday, June 21, 2015.
Zofia is survived by her son John; brother Bronislaw (Stasia); brother-in-law Kazimierz (Wladyslawa) all in Poland; and numerous nieces and nephews in Poland and Canada. She was predeceased by her son Roman; and husband Tadeusz.
Zofia was a very hard working person, very meticulous, articulate and paid close attention to detail. She worked as a sewing machine operator at Greb Shoes for over fifteen years and for another fifteen more at Smitty’s Pancake House in Garden City. Zofia faithfully attended Holy Ghost Church since she came to Canada. Family was very important to Zofia, she always put her family and their needs first before her own.
Rosary will be read Friday, June 26 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
