ROY CHIKOUSKY
(OCTOBER 10, 1934 - JUNE 9, 2012)
On Saturday, June 9th, 2012, after a lengthy and hard fought illness, Roy Chikousky, age 77, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side.
Roy was predeceased by his parents, Max and Nettie; brothers, Billy, George, and Walter; and sisters, Helen and Violet.
He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 55 years, Laureen; children, Christine, Gary (Debbie) and Bonnie; grandchildren, Bradley (Sarah), Lisa (Kyle), David (Malinda), Amy (Nick), Michael, Cherie and Keith; and great-granddaughter, Hannah.
Roy was born in Camper, MB and moved to Winnipeg at the age of 12, where he lived and raised his family. He worked for the Canadian National Railway for 35 years and retired in 1993.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff on the fifth floor of Seven Oaks Hospital, who took care of Dad with compassion, respect, and tenderness. We are forever grateful.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery.
