Obituary of JADWIGA ZINOWKO
JADWIGA ZINOWKO
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful, loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Jadwiga Zinowko peacefully passed away June 6, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 74. Jadwiga is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Brad); her sons Ignacy (Basia), Irek (Gosia) and her grandchildren Cassandra, Veronica, Gabriel, Jessica and Michael. Jadwiga also leaves to mourn her sisters Halina, Alina and Basia and many numerous relatives and friends.
Mamusia (Mom) and her family immigrated to Canada in 1983 from Poland. Her greatest love was her husband, Ryszard, to whom she was married for 51 wonderful years. Ryszard passed away suddenly in November 2011 and she missed him dearly. Mamusia enjoyed reading, cooking, knitting and spending time with her grandkids and also loved to go fishing with her boys whenever the chance arose. She will be remembered as a kind and giving person who was always ready to help her family and friends. Special thanks to all the staff at the Central Dialysis Unit for their ongoing care and compassion.
Prayers will be said on Monday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jadwiga’s memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Suite 1-452 Dovercourt Dr., Wpg.
