In his early years, he would enjoy biking, playing billiards, Ping - pong and mah - Jong, with family and close friends. After learning how to play chess, he would frequently compete with his older brother Jorge and close friend Russ(Rusty) almost every weekend at Jorge's house. 'Jun' would also regularly pass time by playing solitaire and listen to old classic songs from artists like Tom Jones, to Pat Boone, to the Everly brothers and much much more. Jun worked for Dominion Bridge for most of his career but ended up retiring from Wilson's Auto Electric at the age of 62. In retirement, he loved to walk the rooms of Club Regent Casino and play a game or two on the slot machines. He enjoyed fishing on quiet summer nights with his good friend Jon Baunsit, his son Jason, nephew Nelson, and neighbor Wendel, but his true passion was playing an intense and competitive game of chess with family and close friends. A special thank you to the medical team(s) at St.Boniface Hospital, family and friends. "ETERNAL REST GRANT OUR FATHER"
