CAROLINE EMILY IRENE BOLES
(Nee YURKIW)
August 3, 1943 – March 2, 2015
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Caroline on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the age of 71 years.
Caroline leaves to mourn her husband of 50 years, Brian; son Dennis (Sabrina), daughter Cindy Danchuk (Garth); son Scott (Katrina); grandchildren Adam, Ashley, Haley, Desiree, Caitlynn, Celeste, Wesley, Kyla and Grant; great grandchildren Abdullah and Bushra. Also left to mourn are brothers Ben (Margaret) Yurkiw and Gerry Yurkiw nephews Don, Brad, Mike, Daylen; niece Dayna and other extended family.
Caroline was born in Winnipeg, grew up in Macdonald and went to school in Portage La Prairie. In 1965 Caroline married Brian and she chose to be a stay at home Mom. She spent many years volunteering in the community, especially with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. In later year Caroline became an active participant in her church, where she enjoyed the companionship of her fellow perogy makers.
Caroline’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent many hours enjoying her grandchildren through their various activities. She was their biggest fan.
Prayers will be sung on Thursday, March 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Caroline’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
