Obituary of MARY JANETH BEEHLER
MARY JANETH BEEHLER
It is with great sadness we announce the death of our dear sister, darling aunt, and beloved friend on February 19, 2015. Mary Janeth was born in Ottawa, Ontario on September 17, 1951.
She was predeceased by her parents Madeline and Francis Beehler, and two brothers - Ronald Beehler (and Genevieve) and Rodger Beehler.
To mourn her loss are her siblings Francesca Beehler, Robert (and Jacqueline) Beehler, Judith (and Ken) Bancroft, Christine (and Gordon) Hoeschen, Elizabeth (and Graham) Smith. Mary was a devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews and close friends who live across Canada and USA, as well as far away as Australia and England. Also, she will be sadly missed by her cherished friends Thor and Chrystyna Choptiany, and their children Ariadna, Maxym, Platon and Renata.
Our sister was a WONDERFUL person in every sense of the word! Her favorite role in life was being "Auntie Mary" to her many nieces and nephews and her friends' children. She was such a generous soul and as far as she was concerned - you can never spoil a kid!
From early on, wearing her "Davy Crockett" jacket, Mary loved everything "western". Along with enjoying western movies and western singers, she always cheered loud and strong for the western teams - the Winnipeg Blue Bombers / the Winnipeg Jets / and our baseball team the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
As well, Mary cherished all her four-footed friends, especially her cats Charlie and Samuel.
She really enjoyed time spent at the "lake", playing a board game or playing cards, making a puzzle, or enjoying her passion - reading!
She read hundreds of science fiction books, "Marvel comics" and her absolute favorite were hundreds of "mystery" or "who-done it" books.
Mary was a University graduate with a Science degree / Law degree / and her Chartered accountant degree. Reading and university - the equation equals that Mary was a life-long-learner!
We will never, ever forget you dear sister, darling aunt and beloved friend.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, corner of Stafford and Corydon at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2nd.
In lieu of flowers, Mary's wish was to donate to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue.
