HELEN BECK CONWAY (MC AULEY) Helen, “Mama” Conway née McAuley Beck died peacefully in Winnipeg on February 4 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 85 she leaves behind 5 Generations. Helen is survived by her husband Joe Conway, Geraldine Beck, Dale and Lorna Beck, Karen, Clayton and Wanda Beck, Albert and Terry Braun , and her only living sibling Mrs. Melva Moar 96 years of age. She is preceded in death by her parents and 13 siblings. Helen will be sadly missed by family and friends. Conrad (Tammy), Duane (Craig), Michael Eyjolfson, Kristin (Rory), Rachel Freed, Debbie (Wes), Darryl, Derek (Shelley) Nikki (Casey), Lisa & Jason Moar, Daniel & Jayden Beck, Jordan, Geoff, Jarred and Madison. Helen as well had numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Ami-(Kianna, Kingston, Max ), Melissa-(Ava) and Hilliary-(Jaden) Caitlin and Tia , Michael-( Meka & Madison), Rachel- ( Adara , Alena –(Odin) Ahnika, Uli, Debbie- ( Kelsey, Jena) and Derek-( Darion ), Nikki-( Carter, Presley) Lisa- ( Kyla, Teegan and Tyra), Jason-(Arianna) Helen had numerous nieces and nephews she cared deeply for, Ralph RIP, Yvonne, Orville are just a few of the many she loved. Other loving babies, Echo, Robin and Nikki, Phoenix along with Gabriel and Phoenix. Helen was born on May 21,1929 date in Crane River to Isabel and Collin McAuley. She attended school in Crane River. She married George Beck of Mossy River Manitoba in 1952,George passed away in 1967. Helen resided in her home community for many years and would often go back to visit friends and family, where stories were told and shared openly with laughter. Helen was a long- standing member of MMF. Helen and Joe were together for 42 years. Helen and Joe resided on Stella Street in Winnipeg for decades where she made Stella Mission a daily stop. In her later years Helen could easily be found at Garden City Mall visiting with her numerous close friends and her sister and best friend Melva. Her children remember her as a kind loving and soft spirited mother with a love for looking great, her lipstick and her love for always wearing hats and naturally garage sales. Her children remember her as a spiritually and religiously fulfilled mother with a love of her children and sharing stories and teasing, who encouraged them to always be proud of there heritage and to pursue their goals. Mama was accomplished at listening and offering advice in a difficult crisis and often would sit with you at her table only to show you there was so much life had to offer. She was a generous individual who loved to spoil anyone whom would step through her back door into her kitchen and take a seat at the table we all remember as being a place we could find balance and love was passionate about helping her family achieve enriched relationships and always reminding them to work hard and love more. She was an active and dedicated member of the church in fact every church was home to her where she would volunteer. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday February 10th at 10 am at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, Mb, with a reception to follow at Cropo. Father Michael will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen’s life.
