Obituary of ROBERT ALLAN KILLEN
ROBERT ALLAN KILLEN
It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Killen (Bob) on Jan 27, 2015 at the age of 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather and son.
Robert is survived by loving wife of 50 years Anita, children Joseph (Coreen), Mark (Lori), Rosanne (Dwayne) and Patrick (Tracy), 7 grandchildren, Samantha (Conor), Christopher, Julie, Khaliegh-anne, Bailey, Ashley and Felisha.
Robert also leaves to mourn his passing, mother Edna Killen, brother Gerry (Val) Killen, sister Judy (Brian) Bird, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his father George Killen, sister Caroline (Kurt) Godfredsen, niece Lori, in-laws Anna and Gabriel Sapacz and brother in law John Lentowitsch.
Dad was born on December 22, 1942 in Winnipeg Manitoba. At the age of 19 he was working for Goodwill when he met his beloved wife and partner Anita at a local coffee shop during his lunch break. Soon after that they began to build a life together where over the years he had many jobs which lead him to delivering milk for Royal Dairies, Crescent Creameries.
As a hard working individual dad found the time to build and run a hobby farm to provide further for his family, finally ending up at Kildonan Place Mall where he retired as a maintenance personal. During his retirement years he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren wood working and tinkering around the house and cutting grass on his John Deer. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the first responders and all medical staff that were involved in his care.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 10:00am at Cropo Funeral Chapel located at 1442 Main St. Winnipeg, Manitoba.
