For the short time I knew Duncan he was kind, caring and a wonderful man. He gave me the gift of music - A Ukulele, a most treasured gift. He was teaching me how to play the songs of my culture. He never mentioned his illness, kept his health very privately. I enjoyed his visits and going to the St.Vital Mall with him for coffee and visiting with his little dogs. He loved them so much, they were treated with the best care any dog could want. Duncan enjoyed his cars, guitars and memories of playing in the bands. I think of Duncan all the time and miss his voice and his smile. He was truly an amazing man. Still missing you after all these years.

My most sincere condolences. I was a close friend of Duncan's back in the early days of the Mongrels. We shared a lot together in those brief few years before time and distance separated us for so long. We only recently reconnected, via our mutual old pal Hans, through Facebook. My regret is not having reconnected sooner with Duncan. My thoughts and prayers go out to Duncan's family. Dunc was a special guy and MY guitar hero. Sincerely, Tony Deise.
