Obituary of KAZIMIERA PRZYBYLO

KAZIMIERA PRZYBYLO February 23, 1934-May 29, 2012 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kazia, beloved mother, babcia, sister and cherished friend. She was predeceased by her husband Michal, parents Anastazia and Josef Bordolinski and sister-in-law Lucy. She will be missed by her daughters Anna (Bob Coulter), Grace (Lance Kapusta) and three grandchildren Jamie, Jill and Dillon as well as her brother Richard Bordolinski and his children. Kazia was born in Czostkow, Poland and moved to Gdansk where she met her future husband Michal. Their marriage in 1952 was shortly followed by the birth of two daughters Anna and Grace. In 1958 they made the decision to move their young family to Canada to provide their daughters with a more promising future and to join her parents and brother who had previously settled in Winnipeg. She and Michal brought up their family in a rich cultural environment under difficult economic circumstances. Through their hard work and commitment to family life we enjoyed many camping, blueberry and mushroom picking expeditions and relaxing day trips to Grand Beach. As empty nesters they embarked on another adventure by building cottages at Beaconia with a number of dear friends where they enjoyed several decades of companionship and happy times. To improve the standard of living for her family Kazia worked in a variety of occupations including seamstress in a garment factory and at Penningtons and Eaton’s; photo technician at Winnipeg Photo, and as a composite technician at Boeing Canada. Kazia was an excellent role model to her daughters, instilling in them the importance of higher education to secure rewarding careers and economic independence. Following the death of her husband in 1992, and her own health challenges, Kazia became a professional grandmother. Due to her tremendous love, care and cheerful approach to life, her grandchildren fondly remember their babcia. Her generosity, hospitality and kindness will be remembered by her family and many friends inside and outside the Polish community. The family would like to thank the WRHA Homecare staff, Dr. Panaskevich, Dr. Fatoye, staff at the Seven Oaks oncology clinic, and the 3rd and 5th floor Seven Oaks Hospital staff, for their care, as well as the many friends that provided her with cheer and a "windowsill garden" while she was hospitalized. She was a long time member of the Holy Ghost Parish and the St. Cecylia Choir. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie and Dillon Kapusta, Jill Coulter, Margaret Trager, Victor and Mark Bordolinski. Flowers kindly declined. If one so wishes a donation can be made in Kazia’s memory to the Missionaries of Charity (Manitoba) Inc., 356 Pritchard Ave., Winnipeg, R2W 2J6. Wieczny odpoczynek racz jej dac, Panie. We will all miss you mom.
