Eva and daughters,
It truly was a great privilege to have known Jack and to have experienced his humor , wisdom and compassion. I was always fond of the stories my dad would tell us about Jack and the stories they would tell together. I am glad I was able to see him and speak with him prior to Friday, I am thinking of you all.

To the family of Mr. Jack Nicol
It is with much grief that I learned of Jack's passing. Please accept my sincerest condolences and know that Jack was more than a customer: he was my friend. He supported my business and my efforts in expanding lacrosse in Manitoba. All of us at Timmies will surely miss his intellect, quick wit and smile.
On a personal note, if my two boys turn out to be half the man that Jack was, I will consider them to be "good men."
Again, my sincerest condolences.
Sincerely
Scott Kinnear

What a lovely, sincere and perfect tribute to Jack. I personally loved how he was "himself" at all times and helped so many people. A friend of mind said he coached him in hockey 50 years ago (in Transcona) and thought the world of Jack. My condolences again to Eva, all the girls, husbands and all of the grandchildren.
P.S. I will miss his Christmas card each year and felt privileged that us Fosters made the cut!
