Obituary of JOSEPH BZOWY

DR. JOSEPH BZOWY December 3, 1917 – October 31, 2014 With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph Bzowy on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Victoria Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his long-time companion Olena Homenko; his son Dennis (Monica); and two brothers. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. He was born in Dundurn, Saskatchewan, but later moved to Alberta where his father farmed. He received a doctorate in naturopathy from Sierra University in the U.S. In 1954, he was named a fellow of the American College of Medical Technologists. The family would like to thank the health-care providers at Victoria Hospital for their tender care and support. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with the Very Rev. Michael Skrumeda officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
