Obituary of EVELYN SARAH FARREN

EVELYN SARAH FARREN July 9, 1964 – October 5, 2014 It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of Evelyn Farren after a courageous battle against cancer, fought with dignity and grace. Left to treasure her memory are her beloved sons Kyle (Jessie) and Travis (Sam), her granddaughter Sophie, her adoring parents Neil and Kathleen, her sister Anne (Warren), her niece Caitlin, her dearest friend Marc and all her family in Scotland. Evelyn was blessed with many wonderful friends, but those who enriched her life the most were her lifelong friend Gail and her bingo buddy Debbie. Evelyn had a wonderful appreciation for the simple things in life and found great joy in camping with friends, walking her dog Shadow through the woods, listening to the waves crash on the beach and sitting around the bonfire with her boys. Her favorite pastime was playing with her granddaughter Sophie. We would like to thank Dr. A. Jowett and his nurse Agnes for all their compassion and care. The palliative care team that provided comfort and respect during Ev’s final days and Dr. R. Wong at Cancer Care who did all he could. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday October 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard.
