Obituary of ADELE MURAWKA

ADELE MURAWKA (MARCHAK) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Adele Murawka on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the age of 80 at the Maples Personal Care Home. Adele is survived by her loving husband Harry, daughters Donna, Annette, Tammie (Gary) and grandchildren Lee and Chad. She is also survived by her sister Agnes and brother Gordon and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Eileen Marchak, brother Leonard, mother- in- law Mary, brothers-in-law Mike and Al, sister-in-law Kathy, son-in-law Raymond. Adele was born February 2, 1934 to Frank and Eileen Marchak in Meleb, MB. She attended Meleb Park School and shortly after she finished school, moved to Toronto for a short while then came home and met and married Harry on June 5, 1954 and started to raise their family on their farm in Fraserwood, MB. In 1968, the family moved to Stony Mountain, MB where Harry started his career at the Stony Mountain Penitentiary. After all the hard work she did on the farm, Adele was now able to enjoy many new interest that included curling, bowling, cribbage, BINGO and playing Nintendo games with his grandsons. Adele was also very talented in creating beautiful craft items and she loved tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. But most of all Adele was an awesome wife, mother and grandmother, family was the most important part of her life. Adele attended and was a member of the Stony Mountain Catholic Church. Our family would like to expend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for the exceptional care they gave to Mom. Memorial Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment at a later date. Flowers graciously declined, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
