AMELIA (EMILY) BILUK Obituary

AMELIA (EMILY) BILUK

(nee Hryshchuk)

Peacefully on May 9, 2012 Emily went to be with the Lord.

Emily was born in Hubin, Volyn, Poland on November 5, 1924. She immigrated to Canada with her parents in 1936 to reside on a farm in the Pleasant Home area of Manitoba. Emily married Steve Biluk in 1944.

Emily worked in the hotel industry throughout her life. She owned and operated the Lincoln Motor Hotel from 1967, along with her son Irvin, until her illness in 2002. A hard working woman, she did everything with excellence. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, embroidery, crocheting and travel.

Emily was predeceased by her husband Steve and her father Andrew both in 1967; mother Pauline in 1985 and brother Walter in 1990.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Irvin and wife Paula, their children Christie and Jamie Biluk; nephews Donnie (Janice) and Bill (Brenda) Hryshchuk and their families.

The family is grateful and thankful for the kind care given to Emily at Holy Family Home.

A private family service has taken place at St. Stephen's Orthodox Church in Pleasant Home.
