Obituary of JASON WALTER LJUBIC
JASON WALTER LJUBIC
October 2, 1974 – May 17, 2012
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our son, boyfriend, uncle, cousin and most amazing brother Jason at the young age of 37 after a very brief but very courageous battle with cancer.
Jason was born and raised in Winnipeg. He had a love for the good things in life. His passion was motorcycles and cars but more than anything friends and family were what meant the most to him. He was always the first person there to help in the time of need, no matter who it was or what it was for. He always put others ahead of himself and never thought twice when someone asked for or needed help in any way.
Jason spent most of his adult years working for Empire Iron Works with his dad. He always said this was just the beginning and was building towards a future that he always dreamed of. Three years ago he began to make his dreams a reality when he purchased his home in Florida. This was his pride and joy and although he lived in Winnipeg, from this point on his heart was always in Florida.
Jason leaves behind his parents, Mirko and Ethel, brother, Donovan (Carissa), girlfriend & soul mate, Karen (Robyn and Lauren), his best friends Tomi and Michelle (Jaiden and Sarah), his babies Fatso and Duckey, numerous family members in Sudbury and Croatia, and his many many friends from all over the world.
Jason spent his life dreaming big, all the while trying to take care of everyone around him. In his final selfless act, with his family by his side, Jay’s last words were meant to put us all at rest and comfort us when he said "I’ll be fine." Now he is gone with Jesus to begin his new journey in Heaven where he will be watching over us as he awaits our arrival. Rest in peace Jason, you will always be a part of us and we will never forget you and love you so much. You were an inspiration to all who knew you.

Interment will take place at a later date at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street.
