PEARL KOROBY
July 24, 1925 – July 30, 2014
On Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Residence, Pearl Koroby passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister Tina Knockaert, sister-in-law Lena Koroby, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends Jimmy Donald Sawchuk and Mary Turko.
Pearl was predeceased by her parents Mary and John, sister Anne Bembenek and brothers Bill and Steve Koroby.
For many years Pearl worked for the City of Winnipeg’s Department of Assessment, retiring in 1985.
The family would like to give sincere thanks and appreciation to the dedicated staff at St. Joseph’s and to Father Raphael Glofcheski for administering the Sacrament of the Sick.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with Rev. Fr. Volodymyr Bashutskyy officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed Virgin Mary Church or to a charity of choice.
