In honour of your memory, I once again share the name Prairie with you. Your one year time of leaving us in body is approaching; your Spirit is always with. Each morning and at bedtime, I say good morning and good night to you, as I know, I can feel your Spirit is with me. I thought I would leave a message in writing, though I know you know, as we still talk, I am proud to share your family once again, until we meet again. Love you, Miss you always, Your little sister Mary Dianne Prairie

Today is December 29, 2011 and it is the first Christmas without brother Louis. Though it was a quiet one this year, you were in our hearts and dearly missed. There is a void that will be forever felt without your presence in our lives. Again, Louis, you are missed so much......d

Louis and I ( Doreen) were the best of friends as children and continued to be until his final day(s) he was the oldest boy of 6 siblings Because of the different age span(s) We each had a unique loving relationship with our brother. Louis was a man of few words, but when he spoke his truth,it was without malace or intent. He talked of the special times with his daughter (Chrystal) when she was a little girl and recently when she, mom (Frances) with family visited and shared the remembered times of youth and friendships. Despite the discomfort of the illness, he was the happiest that he had been in a long time during that visit. He was always happy to have visits from his brother-in-law Robert.Their talks always comforted him. He was proud of his Metis Heritage/Culture and honored to be of service on Metis night. He enjoyed the trips to the country and his relationship with his in-laws. He spoke of his friendship with brother-in-law Barry expressing fond memories of their shared experiences.Brother Louis we, Doreen, Ron, Darlene, Diane, and Ed. will always be with us. Louis, thanks for being the brother and friend I could always count on. Miss you, Love...Doreen

As I have lived apart from family for 20 yrs. when remembering my big brother over the years, I remember the special day we were re-united all those years ago after being separated as children. My brother welcomed me as if we had never been apart, made me feel safe, comforted that I had come home again. He was always protective of his family, younger siblings, always there for us when times were hard. His appreciation, concern of those in need, carried further than family. He helped those less fortunate over the years, volunteering his time to homeless, the hungry, people with addictions. His passion, sincere caring for all Creation's will be lost, missed, as my big brother was Truly One Of Creators Helpers. I Love You Louis, I am honoured to have you as a Brother and will cherish the times, memories we shared until we meet again. I miss you. Your Youngest Sister Diane

I wish to express condolences to Crystal, Ronnie, Frances and Helen; Louis and I had a good life together for many years, growing apart is never easy. I have remembered the good times, card night, school activities. May he rest in piece.
