Obituary of JOSEPH FRANCIS DESAUTELS

JOSEPH FRANCIS DESAUTELS November 11, 1936 – July 9, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph at the age of 77 years. Joseph will be sadly missed by his children, Carolyn (Randy), Cheryl, Troy and Greg; grandchildren, Chris (Christy), Denee (Jenn), Trent, Doree (Keltie), Nicholas, Matthew, Amber, Brittney and Richard; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sarah, Gage, Isaac, D’andra, Taylor, Dominik, Chase, Ty and Falyn. He will also be missed by his brothers, Richard (Inga), Jerry (Claudette), Marcel, Donald and Norman (Laurie); sisters, Patsy and Linda; and by all his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Betty; brothers, Roger, Brian, Eugene; and sister Corise. Francis was born in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. At a young age, his family moved to a farm in Dryden. In 1961 he moved back to Winnipeg. Francis worked for the City of Winnipeg for 33 years until retirement. He enjoyed spending time with the family, fishing and being on the farm. He will be sadly missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Reception to follow at Sir Sam Steele Legion, 376 Salter Street.
