My earliest memory of my Aunty Carol is that she laughed a lot, and that she had a jewelry box that had a little ballerina in it that danced and twirled while it played music. I would lay on the bed with my ear aches and let the music soothe my pain as I watched that little dancer twirl and spin. I thought that was what Aunty Carol did for a living, that she was like a ballerina who danced and twirled to the music.
I remember being at her wedding when I was a little boy and watching her dance. So this all made sense to me, that dancing and laughing was what she did, that was Aunty Carol's job - her purpose - and she loved it.
I remember Aunty as one who made people happy with her happiness. It was her gift and she gave it away extravagantly.
With it, she taught me how to laugh.
The Bible says a merry heart is like a good medicine, and I believe that's true. Because I know that as she poured out hers, she made us all better.
Blessings and thank you Aunty Carol. Enjoy the dance.

There are so many things Aunty Carol was to all of us, but one thing she always brought with her was laughter. No matter where she went and whoever she surrounded herself with she gifted all with her joy. The food and music she provided were just the props to support that joy she arrayed herself with. Indeed, it was her glory, and she wore it better than any queen. Like a cloak it kept her and those around her warm and satisfied. She made us all better for it.
We will miss her for now, but we will see her again in His glory.
