Obituary of HARRY BREZDEN

HARRY BREZDEN Harry Brezden passed away, peacefully, on the morning of Friday May 16th. Our dad is now at peace and reunited with his beloved wife, Mabel. Left to cherish his memory are his children Gary (Sigrid), Brent (Lynn Giesbrecht), Mark (Tracy Dunham) and Pat (Don) Battellino along with his grandchildren Kristin, Tyler, Hilary, Garrett and Taylor. He also leaves behind his remaining siblings Paul, John, Vicki, Ernie and Bernice and many nieces and nephews. Dad enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid huntsman and fisherman. Our family enjoyed many weekends camping and fishing with him. He was a founding member of St. Joe’s Wildlife Club and remained an active member from 1968 to 2014. One of Dad’s favorite places to be was the Club’s cabin at Long Lake with his family and fellow club members. Dad was kind, patient and content with his life. He will be warmly remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. We give our sincere thanks to Floor 5 Unit 1 staff and Palliative Care Team at Seven Oaks General Hospital. They took exceptional care of our dad and were a great support to our family. We also wish to thank Father Bohdan Lukie for his many visits with Dad. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 2 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In memory of Harry, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Canadian Cancer Society.
