Obituary of JOSE MANUEL BOTELHO

JOSE MANUEL BOTELHO On April 3, 2014 Jose Botelho beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather sadly passed at home peacefully at the age of 58 years with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Jose leaves to mourn his loving wife of 39 years Maria Estrela; daughters Patricia (Alan), Maria Gabriela, Elizabete (John); son Cesar; granddaughter Alexis; sister Irene (Alfred-deceased) of Bermuda; brother Jancinto (Grasiela) of Brampton, ON; sister Hortencia (Antonio Jose-deceased) of Portugal and sister Maria (Durval) of Florida. He leaves behind his mother-in-law Julia Sousa; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends He was predeceased by his loving parents Maria de Jesus and Jacinto and sister Vidalia (Manuel) Jose was born April 5, 1955 in Sao Miguel, Acores and came to Canada in 1982. He loved working for Bee Clean; it was a second family of more than 30 years to him. He made and cherished the friendships from Garden City. He loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed fishing and taking long weekend trips. A big thank you to all the doctors and staff from HSC, Seven Oaks Oncology, palliative care and CancerCare Manitoba. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 9 at 8:00 p.m.at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Interment to follow to in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jose’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
