Obituary of ADELINE GOUSCHUK

ADELINE GOUSCHUK (NEE HONOWAY) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Adeline on March 23, 2014 at the age of 79. Adeline's cherished memory continues to live on through the lives of her family; husband George, sons Dale, Lyle (Darryl), granddaughters Candace, Jodi, Sheri (Jason), great grandchildren Alex, Samantha, Danny, Tyler, Ryan, Aidan, sister Olga, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and family friends. She was predeceased by her parents Emil and Anna Honoway, brothers John, Peter, Paul, sister Mary and daughter in-law Anne. Adeline was born on April 13, 1934 in Mikado, Saskatchewan. A few years later her family moved to the Swan River Valley where she grew up on the farm and attended school with her 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Lenswood, Manitoba. She met the love of her life George, who she married June 20, 1953. They had 2 sons Dale and Lyle and lived in Swan River until 1966, when they moved their family to Winnipeg, where they made many lifelong friends. Adeline worked at Sears in Swan River and in Winnipeg while she raised their two sons. After retirement Adeline and George bought a house in St. Andrews, where they loved spending time together tending their flower beds and gardens and enjoying their visits with their great grandchildren and many friends and family. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St, Winnipeg. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Thanks to the doctors and staff on the medicine and Dialysis wards at Selkirk General for their care and compassion. "We miss you now, our hearts are sore, As time goes by we miss you more, Your loving smile, your gentle face, No one can fill your vacant space."
