Obituary of ANN RUDY
Ann Rudy
Peacefully, Ann Rudy (nee Blashko) passed away on Tuesday, April 24, at the age of 100 years. Ann was born in Poland and raised in the Melnice area and moved to Winnipeg as a young girl.
She was predeceased by her husband Sylvester Rudy in 1987 and by her brothers Mike, Pete, Frank, John, Nick and Joe, step brother Bob Kuch, sisters Stella Kunicky and Rose Bera. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Nettie Blasko of 93 years, as well as many nieces and nephews along with their families.
How do you sum up 100 productive years in a few paragraphs? Ann will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her sharp memory, her legendary meals which no one could match.
She enjoyed her garden and visiting with family and friends who she dearly loved.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the marvelous staff at the Maples Care Home. They went above and beyond the call of duty in looking after her and keeping her comfortable. Thank you so much, it was greatly appreciated.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
