Obituary of JOYCE DOROTHEA MCLEAN

JOYCE DOROTHEA MCLEAN (nee RUSKIN) June 1, 1920 – February 7, 2014 Peacefully, on Friday, February 7, 2014, Joyce McLean passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge. Joyce will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lynn (Brian) Pascoe and Effie (Bert) Hall and daughter-in-law Gill. Joyce has six grandchildren, David, Christopher, Dodi, Jennifer, Lynn and Kate. One of her greatest pleasures was telling people “I have ten great-grandchildren”. She was predeceased by her husband Alex; and her son Sandy. Joyce was a very dedicated volunteer. Mom retired from Fred Douglas Personal Care Home, but continued working there as a volunteer. She got great pleasure in helping the residents. I would like to say a special “thank-you” to her buddy and great friend “Rose”. No formal service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Rest in Peace, Mom We love you.
