POLLY OLESKI (MANKO) With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Polly Oleski on December 20, 2013. Mom is survived by daughter Jeanette (Ed) Berezuk; grandchildren Allan Berezuk, Janice (Frank) Verborg; great grandchildren Kelly (Tom), Shane, Shannon, Sheri, Kristal, Denis (Teri); great great grandchildren Isabella, Jake and Nathan; sister-in-law Anne Manko; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by loving husband Peter; brothers John and Peter; sisters Ann and Pearl; parents John and Ann; stepmother Pauline; 5 stepsisters and 2 stepbrothers. Mom was born March 17, 1913 in Medika, MB. There she spent her childhood and received her education. At the age of 16 left home to seek employment in Winnipeg. Here Mom met and married her husband Peter, together they shared 53 years. Mom was a caring, loving person, loved entertaining, gardening, knitting and crocheting. A member of Holy Eucharist Church over 40 years. Enjoyed friendships at Seniors Club and weekly perogie making group. Thank you to the Sisters and the wonderful staff at Holy Family Home. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, December 27 at 12:00 noon at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt and Munroe with Rev. Fr. M. Kwiatkowski officiating. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired donations may be made to Holy Eucharist Church or Holy Family Home. Mom: You will be missed and never forgotten.
