Obituary of ANDREAS FRENA

Andreas (Andy) Frena On Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Parkview Place Care Home, Andy Frena, aged 89 years, beloved father of Patricia, Michael and Linda. Andy, or Bandi Bachi as he was affectionately known, was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1922 and came to Canada in 1951. He leaves to mourn two daughters, Patricia and Linda Frena (Will Truchon), one son, Michael Frena (Lily Lee), two grandchildren, Zachary and Rile Frena, one half sister in Hungary, Marika Proksa and family and friends too numerous to list. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Church, 365 Burnell St. in Winnipeg, beginning with a small get together at 1:30pm, with Father Stan Gacek holding mass at 3:00 pm. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Knowing your father for 42 years, I am thinking of him today. I am thinking of a man with a heart made of pure gold, I am thinking of his warm welcome, his kindnesses, and friendly and outgoing personality, which gave us all many happy times together. Our beautiful memories that we shared will live on forever, and though his time has come to an end, for us our memories will never die.
