Obituary of JULIETA BERNARDO

JULIETA BERNARDO ( nee SAN MIGUEL) 1945-2011 On September 8, 2011, Julieta passed away peacefully at the age of 66 at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg. Julieta was predeceased by her parents (father Eliseo, mother Consolacion San Miguel); sisters (Corazon, Linda) and son Richard. Julieta is lovingly remembered by husband Wilson and by her brothers, Roger(Lily and family), Rick(Flor and family), Conrado(Aida and family)Leopoldo(Erlinda and family), Jhun(Carol and family), Noel(Rose and family), Albert(Debbie and family) and Romeo(Bessie). Julieta is also remembered by her five children Jenny ( Fatima) , husband Peter, Christian, Rowena (Zerline), Joshua, wife Myra and their Children Gail, Jasper and Joshua Jr., Marlon, wife Liezl and their children Kathleen and Jumel(J.P), cousins and relatives in the United States, Canada and in the Philippines to numerous to mention. Julieta was born in Bacoor, Cavite, Manila, Philippines where she met and married Wilson on January 7, 1963 and immigrated to Canada in 1989 where she landed in Saskatoon , SK, with her husband and their five children before moving to Winnipeg. Julieta was a hard working person, enjoyed and taking care of her children and brothers and sisters and she enjoyed cooking for them and helping them with life’s difficulties. If you visited Julieta’s home you never left her with an empty stomach and some wise advice. Julieta was a strong woman, a positive soul who was always available with a helping hand, a smile and a great sense of humor, she loved life and it showed to anyone who met her. She was an outgoing person and she loved socializing with her friends at the Casino. She loved the family’s dogs Sandy and Quincy and always showered them with food and attention always asked and had cooked some extra food for them when Sandy and Quincy were not near. Julieta will be greatly missed by her family and friends on behalf of the family we want to thank everyone including Dialysis Unit Staff at HSC and Seven Oaks Hospital for their support through this difficult time. Lamay/Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 between 6pm to 1am. Monsignor Maurice Comeault, P.H. officiating at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. at 11:00am with interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street. Following the interment there will be an informal luncheon at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Auditorium.
