Ann was born in Point Douglas on July 15, 1917, and was predeceased by her Mother, Barbara (Konowalchuk), her Father, Demetro Capp, sisters Mary Procillo, Olga Chornoboy, Nettie Capp, and Jenny Winter. In her youth the Capp family moved to Elmwood where she attended River Elm and Lord Selkirk School. After completing hairdressing school she opened a Hair Salon on the corner of Bowman and Watt, in East Kildonan. Ann was a loving, devoted wife, a sensitive, caring and understanding mother, a wonderful Baba, and a great Baba Grande. Ann married Peter on September 30, 1939 and together enjoyed summers at the family cottage at Twin Beach, winter trips to Hawaii, Texas, Palm Springs, Mexico and Germany, later spending many winters at the family condo in Naples Florida. Mom loved to play bingo and cards with her friends while residing at Holy Family Tower at 147 Aberdeen in the City of Winnipeg and from time to time enjoyed her occasional trip to a casino. She cherished her association with the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate. We wish to extend our appreciation to Dr. A Kraut and his medical team; the B3 and A4 nursing staff of HSC; and to Dr. T St. Godard and Palliative Care staff of St. Boniface Hospital. The family is grateful for the spiritual support of Archbishop M. Bzdel, Father Taras Kowch and the prayers of the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate and friends of the family.
