Obituary of BRIAN VERMETTE

BRIAN JAMES SCOTT VERMETTE Suddenly with his family by his side, Brian, also known as BJ, Vermette passed away at the age of 44. Brian leaves to mourn, his only son Justin Shorting (Vermette); daughter Niketa Pruden; his brothers Izzy Sr. (Rachel) and Ray; his sisters Carol, Sylvia (John), Zelda (Steve), Doris and Nancy Vermette; his nephews, Lee, Pete, Joseph, John Jr., Jorden, Izzy Jr., Justice, Adam, Christopher, Carl Jr., Wayne and Mathew; his nieces, Jenny, Candace, Izzette, Destiny, Chasity, Rosalyn (Buckwheat), Crystal, Leeann, Karen and Shannon, along with numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins; his aunties Alvina Vermette and Eva Scott and his uncle Jerry Scott. Brian was predeceased by his father Maurice Vermette, mother Lillian Scott Vermette, brother Sherman Vermette and nephew John Vermette. Although Brian struggled with alcoholism, he enjoyed making people laugh with his sense of humour. He also loved to draw cartoons, play Bingo and dance. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Wake will take place from Wednesday, August 31 - 8:30 p.m. to Thursday, September 1 - 11:00 a.m. Service will start on Thursday, September 1 at 11:00 a.m. all at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leon, Pete, Joseph, Izzy Jr., John, and Ray.
