Obituary of KENNETH DIAWOL

KENNETH J. DIAWOL Monday, April 2, 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, father, papa and brother on April 2, 2012 at his home. Ken leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 41 years, Cheryl, daughters Michelle (Jeff), Kristi (Damion), grandchildren Finnley, Layla and a grandson to be born in June, his sister Evelyn (Dave), father-in-law Bert and mother-in-law Audrey, sister- in- law Debbie, brothers- in-law Daryl (Erna), Bert, Michael, Robert, niece Kali, nephews Kyle (Jessica), Parker and Brendan, long time best friend Albert (Arlene), and his cats, horses and dog along with other family and friends. Ken was predeceased by his mother Sophie and father John, and a very special friend, Charlie. Ken was self-employed for 30 years as a furniture refinisher. He was a master craftsman and incredibly talented in repairing furniture, restoring antiques, assembling and disassembling complex furniture, and designing creative solutions for his customers. His many interests included Nascar racing, horse racing, watching sports and building things. Our family wishes to thank the palliative care team with IRHA for their support and guidance and especially Lindsay and Joanne for their compassion and gentleness with Ken so that he could remain at home as he wished. Also special thanks to Hailee who has given us so much of her time. It is impossible to capture in words the overwhelming sadness that we feel in losing you too soon in life. We are so proud of the man that you were, the joy you brought to us and so many people with your generosity, wisdom and kindness. We will miss your advice, your conversation and companionship. Your beliefs and ideas and your character will live on in your children and grandchildren, and you will forever be with us in our minds and hearts. We have been blessed by your love and presence and will continue to cherish and celebrate you forever. We love you so much. xoxo Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main St. Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Jeff Gordon Childrens Foundation or Papas Ranch in Clandeboye, MB.
