Obituary of Lawrence ZAYATZ
LAWRENCE (LARRY) ZAYATZ
July 5, 1952 - December 21, 2008
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Larry.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Vivian, sister Faye (Mike) mother Sophie, sisters-in-law Karen (Barry), Gloria (Lawrence) brother-in-law Gerald (Donna), mother-in-law Esther Schmidt, numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews and relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Nick, father-in-law Elmer in 1990.
Larry was born in Vita in 1952 and at a young age, the family moved to Winnipeg. Larry was employed in 1971at Continental Can until his retirement in Sept 2004. Larry valued and held dear the friendships he had made throughout his life and always held them very dearly in his heart. Those who knew Larry well, will know he loved all the good things in life. A fat cigar, a good bottle of wine or a big plate of perogies. Gardening, golfing, travelling and spending time with wife Vivian, family and friends were his favourite pastimes.
Larry will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. The service will terminate at the chapel with cremation to follow at a later date.
A special thank you to Daphne and Johnny for their loving care and comfort and for being there when Larry and Viv needed them the most.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
