Alice (Elsie) Zaluski Nee Bazarynski The family is saddened to announce the passing of Alice Zaluski, beloved wife of Alexander, on Sunday April 27, 2008 at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 80 years. Alice was born in Bifrost, Manitoba (Arborg) on March 26, 1928. The family moved to Meleb where she grew up and went to Park School. At the age of sixteen, she left the farm to work in Winnipeg for a number of years and for two years in Montreal. In 1950 she returned to Meleb and married Alex on October 27, 1951. They moved to Winnipeg to raise a family. Mom worked as a seamstress at numerous sewing factories and Interior Drapery for 20 years. In Winnipeg, she was a member of St. John Cantius Church and in Meleb, St Michael's R.C. Church. In retirement, she helped with the restoration of the church in Meleb and enjoyed time at the farm.
