KAZIMIERZ WIERZBICKI

On Thursday, May 6, 2010, Kazimierz, our father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away with his family by his side at Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 89 years.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Stanislawa of 50 years in 1992.

Kazimierz will be sadly missed and is survived by his son Jozef (Celina), daughter Ewa (Leszek), and one daughter in Poland, Zuzanna. His grandchildren, Veronika, Grzegorz, Maciej, Bartek, Kasia, Jacek and his great grandchildren, Kamil, Sandra, Patryck, Dominik, Klaudia and Rafal.

Kazimierz was born in Stara Wies, Poland and he immigrated to Canada with his wife in 1981. He worked in construction but his greatest pleasure came when he did carpentry work alongside his son. He was a talented man with gifted hands and his talent was seen in the beautiful woodwork that he created. Kazimierz loved to garden, do jigsaw puzzles and visit with his friends in Garden City mall. He had a great sense of humor and would always entertain his family and friends with a song or story for every occasion.

Kazimierz was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. Throughout his life, his faith sustained him through many difficult times and allowed him to enjoy a long and healthy life until the very end.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, May 11, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
