Obituary of Marlene Wiebe

MARLENE WIEBE It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marlene Wiebe on March 25, 2011 with her family by her side. Marlene is survived by her loving husband Neil, children; Kristen (Stephen), Wesley (Elisa) & Jennifer; and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Mathew, Michelle and Brynlee. She also leaves to mourn her brothers & sisters as well as many other family & friends. She is predeceased by her parents John & Frances Petrasko, sister Leona and brother Leonard. Marlene's greatest joy was her family; she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Marlene grew up and spent her life on the family farm on Pineridge Road. She loved to keep busy gardening in any form, whether working in the greenhouse or tending to her own yard, a weed could never be found in her garden! She took pride in growing her own vegetables and sharing their goodness with her family. On her down time she could usually be found enjoying the outdoors sitting on the front deck with a cup of coffee. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, special favourites included; apple pie, sweet and sour meatballs or ribs, perogies & petschke. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marlene's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street 586-8044
