RICHARD THOMAS WANGEN

Suddenly, surrounded by his family, Richard Thomas Wangen passed away on Sunday July 20th, 2008 at the Concordia Hospital.

He is sadly missed by his children Gary, Ambyr (Michael), Tyler (Brenda) and Justin; sister Judy (Robert), nephews Ryan and Eric, grandchildren Steele, Erik and Max ; and good friend Michelle.

He was predeceased by his parents Grace and Tom Wangen.

Richard was born on December 18, 1948 in Winnipeg where he resided most of his life. After attending Red River College, Richard was a 'jack of all trades'. Richard was a paramedic, real estate agent, embalmer at Cropo, a Big Brother, salesman, and a health care aide. He took pride and joy in owning his own restaurant.. Recently he was a health care aide at Westwood and privately attended Gary Sheldrake.

Throughout his working years, everybody admired his kindness and his sense of humour. Besides his passion for Bingo, Richard loved his children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr.'s Weinberg and Priestly, Rhonda Kaluzny, Christian Van Driel and the ICU staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion.

Funeral service will be held on Fri. July 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Cremation will follow. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.cropo.com
